I sometimes have to check my blood sugar. I do this about every other day. I try to be extra careful on what I eat and how much of it. When it comes to my blood sugar sometimes foods such as cereal makes it go up. Oatmeal isn't too bad but it depends on if it's the sugary kind. Even diet drinks makes my blood sugar elevated. Which is weird in my book. I had cut caffeine almost completely out. I don't drink coffee any more but I get my caffeine from certain drinks like soda or flavor packets for water. But I limit myself on it.

Morgan—- if it is possible I would like to suggest that you ask to see a diabetic educator or nutritionists to help you make an eating plan that is more consistent with achieving your goals
