RoseFlorida's Journal, 17 February 2017

Yay, Sunday night we are going to the drive in to see Lego Batman. I'm planning on making a fat head pizza after I get home from work and we can bring it with us. My son doesn't have school Monday and hubby doesn't have work either so... Their homemade chili is pretty good and so are their fresh whole pizzas but I won't have that. It's not a "cheat" day or meal. But I can have a burger there if I'm still hungry. I try to purchase something from the snack bar there because admission only covers the cost of the films. They only make money from the concessions and they are awesome there. One night they announced that everyone was supposed to buy stuff from a local girl first (table set-up outside the snack place) to support her upcoming educational trip. If she had it, they wouldn't sell it until she ran out.

I contend that you can find a low-carb option on ANY menu. even if you have to pick off the breading from typically breaded, deep-fried stuff, you can make it low carb. I make it a game, like a treasure hunt. "There has to be real food under all this stuff, somewhere!"

The burgers and hotdogs are low carb, remove bun. The cheese they use is okay. They sell dill pickles also. It's a small family drive in. You can check it out here http://www.ruskinfamilydrivein.com We've been going for way too many years. They used to sell a homemade pulled pork but they took it off the menu, not selling enough.

You should still ask the concession worker for the low carb menu just to see the look on their face...LOL
