A bit high on the calories today, but still way ahead on calories burned vs. eaten. I met my goal of daily exercise since Thursday, but tomorrow I'm taking a day off because I'm pretty sore. I fell on the ice today -- only the second fall since I started in December -- and my shoulder is sore, so I think it's better to rest it on Tuesday and wait until Wednesday to exercise again. Skated today at the Park District rink for the first time. Almost everyone there was older than me! and they all had war stories to tell: One lady -- I bet she's past 70 -- broke an ankle while practicing a Lutz; one guy who told me he's 66 said he was bent over from a dislocated hip for five months. I'm hoping to survive with just a bruised shoulder.
