I didn't have time to weigh in this morning. I hit the snooze too many times so I had to hurry to get going to the hospital.
My mom came through her third knee replacement just fine, though they had to do a total replacement instead of just the bottom half like they thought. Seems that the knee joint came loose from the thigh bone as well as her lower leg. No wonder she's been in so much pain.
3 days in the hospital then at least a week in the nursing home. She should be home just after her 70th birthday.
As for my food for the day. I did good at first, only having what I brought. Then when the surgery went long with the extra work, we had no choice but to eat at the hospital.
I got a grilled chicken sandwich on a wheat bun. It was good, but I could really taste the salt that I'm not supposed to be having. I also made a nice salad, but the only dressings they had, had salt so I picked the lowest one. I did restrain myself and skipped some of my favorite salad toppings because of calories/fat/cholesterol/sodium, but everything else still all adds up.
I'll be ok with a small gain in the morning, but my main worry at the moment is my blood pressure with all that salt. My weight may be important, but the heart is the most important part of this diet..................
