I ran this morning on the treadmill. It was the first time I ran in a week and a half since I had been on vacation. I set the treadmill at 6 mph thinking it was going to be to fast like it normally is, and wow. I felt comfortable at that pace for the first time. I had to recheck the treadmill to make sure I was really at 6. I thought I pushed the buttons wrong. Usually I start at 5.5 and work my way up. I did a mile and half in 15 minutes. I didn't want to push to much since I hadn't run for a while. Will wonders never cease. I am surprised and pleased that I did alright since I have a pt test next month and have to make the 2 mile run in 22 minutes 42 seconds to pass. I am shooting for 18 or 19 minutes. Now if I can just shed 10 more pounds I won't have to get taped. I know 10 lbs by 20 April is a lofty goal. I'll be happy with a couple more lbs at least.

This is totally random, but I forgot my plastic flatware. I am going to have to eat my food using celery as a spoon. It is going to be interesting when I get to my sauercraut, soup, yogurt, and cottage cheese. Adapt and overcome. LOL

10 min mile is pretty good.. and you could get really close to the 10 lbs by april 20 but man.. you would really have tot work hard at it. Like no treats and no messing about anywhere. Just careful eatinga and extra exercise. I have no idea what taping is.. but depending on how terrible it is... it might be worth it. :P

Body fat taping. The Army uses a tape measure to measure my stomach, hips, and neck. They then have a magical formula that takes my measurements, age, gender, height, and weight to calculate my body fat percentage. I can't be over 34% body fat. I always am under, but it is not fun to have to be taped. Its mainly mental. I always feel bad because I am overweight allowed by the Army standards. I will try to be good if you think I can lose 10 by then.

Nice job! Maybe your muscles needed some rest after all? You are so close... I think even getting within a few pounds of "not getting taped" is going to be a big accomplishment! As for spoon, can you borrow one from a coworker?

Funny, I went looking for a spoon, or fork. All that was left were plastic knifes. Apparently the other coworkers had the same ideas, forgot their flatware and raided all the spoons and forks. lol. I'm the only one that brings my lunch. I couldn't find anyone with utensils. Most go out or to the dining facility (That has real silverware I can't borrow) Imagine how much money I am saving by bringing my lunch and not eating out everyday! I can also count calories and not pig out by avoiding the dining facility. I managed to eat all with the celery. It wasn't pretty, but then again I have my own office so no one saw. haha

Hmmm, eating with celery could be a weight loss tool! LOL! One just might eat less if it is too difficult to eat it!
