Day 1 of a planned 3 days of ‘water and heavy cream’ fasting
I tried to run 7 miles yesterday. I ran 5 and walked the rest of the way. Basically, glycogen in my muscles was-empty! This is good because I am trying to force my body to burn fat. I ate well and kept my carbs in the low range. Total miles covered this weekend was 18 miles.
So the goal this week is to reduce my carbs down to 2-3 grams a day and go for maximum weight loss. Water fasting is not for the calorie reduction, it is for the carb *and* protein reduction. Two things I can’t do when I am drinking my normal protein shakes.
However, if I have any tough mental stress, I will go back to drinking protein shakes, and if I get really upset I will even eat if I feel I need to 👍🏾
