Happy ketoversary!!!
I have some questions for you more seasoned keto-ists. So, I'm brand new to the Keto Diet world. I've been doing my research, mainly using books by Leanne Vogel. But, I have questions about how many calories I should stick to for weight loss. I'm 33 years old, 197lbs, 5ft 3, with a goal weight of 135-140lbs. I'm thinking 1300 or 1400 Cal's a day. Is this too much? Too little?? Any advice is welcomed!

I think that would be fine Gail. I do not count calories. I focus on the carbs and then I eat till I start to feel full and I never snack. Doing it that way I ended up with an average around 1300. Right now I am focussing on eating more as I believe in keeping metabolism good. But if you go somewhere around 1300 and 1400 you are certainly in safe range. However, do not be afraid to go higher. At your age you probably will lose fine eating a lot more and it is good for your body. Take it slow. Experiment!

Amazing results! I have a few questions: Can you tell us your usual meal for the day? Do you measure your ketones level?

Gail (that's my real name too!) I don't do Keto but we are similar height, weight and goal. My RDI according to this site is 1400, but I try to keep it not too much over 1200 (not much luck with that for 2 or 3 days now!). But I really just count calories and have a protein goal each day. Not sure how the calories figure in with Keto, although I assume you still need to keep an eye on them.

Dash I do not measure. I measure my food periodically to check that I am not inflating portions but little else. My food is in my food journal. You can check it there. I log every day.

liv001 Had to have a look. Bit envious on that Jarsberg. Nutty goodness. Would make that an occasional treat if I could. Not available here. Also like how you have a bit of this and that. Think that will come here too after a few months maintenance.
