well done resisting the urge! Move on remember why you are on this journey, how about buying some roasted almonds? Those things help me a lot!

Thanks I am home now but it got bad again so I am laying down for awhile. My brain messes with me with messages like "well you probably overate so you blew it anyway." All I ate was a big pile of lettuce with ranch dressing and mushrooms sauteed in balsamic vinaigrette. And 1 KIND bar. Geeze, shut up voice.

Bad voice! Sometimes I do crave chocolate and I have both the kashi bars and chocolate protein drinks to help.

Try sugar free popsycles or fudgesycles... that usually does the trick for me

When I have chocolate cravings I take that fat free rediwhip and put some in a cup with some swerve powder sugar and cocoa powder and make myself a chocolate mousse. Those very dark chocolate bars that you can break off into little pieces aren't too bad to help with the cravings. I heard dark chocolate can be good for you. I know rediwhip is baaad....

You did great! Make a closet in your mind for that negativity that wants to beat you down and lock it away inside.

My personal solution is four dark chocolate chips with a small handful of peanuts or almonds. I have to put them on the counter together before I can eat them and I store them up and away. Eating them is a conscious act for me and chocolate is good enough to hit the craving but not good enough to eat the whole bag if that makes any sense at all. I've weighed my small handful and it's almost exactly 1/2 oz of peanuts.

Ive craved sweets like that before but as soon as i read calories and carbs i throw that crap down. Reading the label helps me reject the urge to buy and eat it 🤭

Thank you every one if you for taking the time to comment and support. I came back frequently to absorb all the positive energy and good ideas that came my way! I survived the night, my blood sugar was only 99 which is pretty good bc if i add ate like i wanted it would be 200 with an insulin shot. So thanks to everyone for helping me and good night!

@Katsolo i do the same thing you do except my chocolate is one Ghirardelli dark chocolate square and a serving or less of walnuts. I make a game of taking the smallest bites of the chocolate that i can and let it melt in my mouth. It satisfies my chocolate/candy craving but doesn't have the sugar in it that will make me crave more.

Can you cook? I make my own sugar-free candy from equal parts butter, coconut oil, and tahini (or peanut butter). After melting those together, add stevia to taste and freeze in ice trays or candy moulds. These can be diet savers, especially on LCHF.
