Fish: Healthy or not?
During my childhood, and quite regularly even to this date; people around me say that fish is healthy. "We should have fish at least twice a week".

I started reading Dr. Fuhrmans 'Eat to live', and he said that we should eat as little fish as possible due to toxic I think it was.

So what is the deal with fish? Eat it, eat it regularly or try to avoid it? I love the taste, and catching my own food does help when it comes to the wallet as well. What are your thoughts?

1200 calories diet, or have I miscalculated badly?
Weighed myself after jogging for 45 minutes straight (7km/t) and it was at 94.8kg. That's 5 kgs from last Monday. Granted, my weight is always a lot lower after running, since it literally looks like I took a swim after I've ran. so I don't really take it that seriously, even after I ate a pear and drank a lot of water pre-running.

I am really starting to feel a lot better, though. I'm definitely reaching my goal someday. Smile

sounds like you want someone in here to pat you on the back and say 'well done, keep going, you are doing great', sorry I am not that person.
Not only aren't you consuming enough you are eating all wrong. Where is the fresh food, all I see you eating daily are processed crackers and pate.

Yes you will lose weight the way you are going, but you will also get very very unwell doing it, just look at anorexic (sp) people, they are thin, but they are not healthy.

I don't know why you are in such a rush because your height/weight ratio for a man is not THAT bad. You are not grossly overweight, you just seem to have a completely wrong body image of yourself.

The only person I want to pat my back, is myself. Sadly, I do not, and never have reached my own back enough to even remotely pat it. I'm not looking for people to hand out cookies and say "good boy", so I'm sorry if my last post came out anything like that. I'm merely VERY interested in losing weight, seeing as this lifestyle has "destroyed" (exaggarate) enough of my life already.

oops forgot to type Ha ha ha 100 grams lean beef is more like 190cal. Frozen veg are full of nutrients, I freeze my kale etc as soon as I get it. You say you are disillusioned - dont be your are fine.

Thank you. It's reassuring to hear that frozen veggies work so well, seeing as it's a super-quick meal to prepare, and should give plenty of nutrition.

These, and similar ones are the ones I'm really loving right now. I'm also trying to eat more veggies, more salad (put some spinach in my wok), and change my jogging time to 50-60 min instead of 30-50. When I get my head to it, I will add muscle workouts too, I just have too much to focus on at the moment.

I also changed my goal from 75 kgs to 70. Smile

1200 calories diet, or have I miscalculated badly?
I find this whole weight loss thing discouraging, seeing as everywhere I look, people say that 1200-1400 calories is way too low. It effects metabolism, etcetera. Do I really need to eat more to lose more weight?

How, where and why does 500 extra calories help me? Where should I get it from?

Also, does water increase metabolism? I'm almost tearing up just at the thought of maybe one day being slim. One day I will reach that goal, I'm just unsure of how yet. Hopefully I will reach it as fast as possible.

I'm sorry, I was just posting it here to maybe show people my daily intake, making it easier for them to see what I eat. I'm not familiar with this forum, so I will definitely post it there instead, if that's easier. Smile
