Be sure you take care of yourself along the way, even with the whirlwind of life around you. :)

And you still see a drop on the scale, good for you.

I know this sounds like the opposite of what you should do if you are retaining fluid, but you need to make sure you are drinking enough water. You need to flush the salt from your system, which is probably what is making you retain fluid.

Yes, I agree with Russ. You may need to drink some more water. Or maybe it could be from you staying on your feet for most of the day.

Glen is just trying to be nice.

Walking aids circulation and lower your salt intake and I agree with Russ more water less soda or other drink mixes. Flush that system. 30 min walk a day - does not have to be a power walk. and find some time to put your feet up at the end of the day. It helped me. If it gets bad consult Dr about it. Swollen ankles and holding water can be signs of other issues.

lol I think the 30 minute walk was covered by the 8 mile run Pterath. Most likely its just too much time on my feet and not enough hydration and too much salt with the holiday weekend. Glen its a woman thing. Ask any women who has had children about elephant ankles and she will shudder. Thanks all for the advice, it was very thoughtful. I am having a hard time trying to keep up with my water needs right now, especially now warmer weather is here. I followed the advice of putting a timer on my computer but if I am not at the computer.....

I am reminded of several years ago when my sister-in-law came to visit. We headed south to Carmel and went on the 17 Mile Drive, which goes along the beautiful Pacific coast, past Pebble Beach Golf Course. I was hugely pregnant with my son and sitting in the car was not doing me any favors. My SIL is a big golf fan and wanted to going into the shop at Pebble Beach. My husband was aghast when I plunked down and propped up my giant ankles in the middle of the pro shop! It felt good, but it definitely wasn't pretty! :) Shudder!

LOL To a point keeping the circulation going daily and consistency also helps.

Thinking of you and hoping you find a bit of time to put those little feet up for some rest. And while you are doing it, enjoy a nice cold glass on water:)

Nichol, I take ice water with me everywhere. At home it's usually nice glass clear mugs. I have plastic (safer) insulated cups that fit in my car cup holder and some wider bottom ones for other places. Easy to also stop in gas stations or fast food and fill with ice and water, most don't charge. It's past time for me to buy my case of bottles of water for the summer, I get the ones Aldis has with the little pop up spout. I pour a bit of water out of some of them and freeze them. Easy to pop into my smallish cooler and take with me to ball games and mud runs etc. That way the ice melts slowly and I have water. I mostly refill them. I keep several bottles of water in the car to refill my cup incase there is nowhere handy. At work I have ice water on my desk all day.
