When I got on the scales this morning I expected a gain.
The reason was that I have been ill with chest infection and been so lethargic for 5 days and I have not been doing any of my regular exercises or walks but still eating the same foods. So was shocked to see a loss of two pounds. I cannot understand this. Anyone have an answer?

150.0 lb Lost so far: 16.0 lb.    Still to go: 19.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Caloric deficit - that is key. You consumed less calories than you burned.

Hi Lily Only just read your journal today, I've been a bit poorly myself and also very busy with the kids..... like me you think its a fluke when you jump on the scales and you've lost a couple of pounds, the very same thing happened to me a few weeks back, But well done you! what ever we are doing it seems to be working for us..... So keep Going Gal slowly but surely we will get down to our ideal weights .....Hope your better now..... BFN Maggy May

Hi Maggy, it is good to see you back. You have done very well to lose that pound especially having the children with you. I am a lot better now thankyou but still not 100 per cent,these things seem to take a lot longer to recover from the older we get. Wishing the weather would warm up soon. Hope you too will soon be well. Weigh in day in the morning,I keep thinking that because I lost 2 pound last week that I may lose nothing tomorrow. But I am doing the best I can so will be happy whatever happens. Cheerio for now. Lily
