Good choice at Whole Foods today... I was trying to figure out what to eat for dinner. I had already raided the freezer last night for mustard bbq chicken, and I don't want to empty the freezer of ready-to-eat meals, so I went shopping. I was hoping for some fish on sale in my price range, but no such luck. But I did find chicken kebabs -- chicken breast, peppers and onions -- on sale without any marinade likely to give me trouble. So I got one and put some spicy tamarind sauce on it and baked it, and it was really delicious. And an added benefit -- I ate 5 oz of the chicken and there's still 2 oz left, which will make a nice snack tomorrow. I also managed to get through 9 innings of bad baseball (the Cubs are struggling) on a bottle of water, a Luna Bar, and a 100-calorie pack of almonds. Pretty good, huh?

Yay! Sounds like today was a win for you. I don't know how I'd survive without my Luna bars.

Greatnae -- Luna Bars are a godsend... but I don't eat as many now as I once did because the low-FODMAP plan really discourages one from eating too much processed soy... Still, those caramel walnut brownie Luna Bars have kept me out of a lot of trouble at business meetings when everyone else was eating donuts!

Luna Bars???? are they low carb? I have seen these but never really looked at the nutrition values. Baseball games, I always get hotdog with mustard throw the bun away. Share boiled peanuts with hubby and just concentrate on the game.

Luna Bars are NOT low carb, but they are delicious and nutritious. My fave (White Chocolate Macadamia) has 180 cal and 25 grams of carbs.

Luna Bars and not low-carb, but they are low-glycemic and very good nutrition. Give you lots of vitamins, minerals. They are not a meal replacement, but they can tide you over when you are in a situation in which you would otherwise eat something stupid and be mad at yourself.

Sweet Georgia Peaches I would kill for a ballpark hotdog. Unfortunately, they make me really sick now as I cannot eat anything nitrite/nitrate stuff without shaking from head to foot and having bladder problems. I bring a Luna Bar and usually my own calorie-controlled packages of nuts, and sometimes Nut-Thins crackers so I don't get the munchies during a 9-inning 8-pitcher game.
