Weekly weigh in showed a pound loss. Am pleased as I was not expecting a loss as I have been to summer parties where healthy food not available and hard to count calories on these occasions. They say there will be a 4 day 'heatwave' in England,(It has been all or nothing recently) but let us hope that now the summer has finally arrived.

I think I will have to cancel the scheduled walk at our walking group on tuesday as the forecast is for 90f /30c and as most of us are in the 60's 70's and 80's age group and I do not think it will be wise for us to go out walking that day.

Going to have a picnic in the park today listening to music at the bandstand.

Take care Lily in the heatwave. You have a walking groupÜ That is sooo cool! I also love walking, I live next to a beautiful area and I try to go out as often as I can. Have a nice Sunday, enjoy the picnic.

Nice photo Lily and a good loss. My Mrs put the heating back on yesterday, hence the coming heatwave. The only thing dependable about the UK weather is you cannot depend on it.

Good loss! I seem to be losing about 1/2 pound a week but at least it keeps going down. Lovely photo of the weeping willow in a park. Reminds me of picnics under the trees when I was a little girl.

We are in for a hot one this week too. Will be exercising indoors after tomorrow. Nice drop Lilly. :))

Thanks everyone for your good feedback. Yes, run a walking group but it is probaly the slowest walking group in the country.As said most of us are in our 60's 70's and 80's,we walk for just over an hour at a gentle pace then we all go back to community room for an hours tea biscuits and chat,we all think that the chat afterwards is just as important as the walk. Only problem is one of our members is an ex army chef and he bakes scrumptious biscuits or cake and bring them in,. It is hard to resist but I have been strong and resist them...Maggy, I will answer your message in a few days. Pleased to see that you are now doing a little walking etc but take care.

Thank you for describing your walking group. I think it is a wonderful initiative, and I agree that the social part and the biscuits are just as important as the walking itself. Speed is not always important. Congratulations for resisting the cake! Have a very nice week Lily!
