So I got back from Denver last Monday and have been following paleo as best I can. Minus the dark chocolate here and there. I have been doing well following my regime.

This weekend went well too. I ate out twice. The first nights dinner out wasn't terrible but not fully paleo. I tried to fill up on shrimp, veggies and meat.

I also signed up for NYSC. So when I am not training with my personal trainer, I can workout in a motivated gym atmosphere. I also love the spin classes they offer so I plan on doing that every week.

I had a cheat meal last night for super bowl sunday. I stuck with water to drink and had pizza and wings with my boyfriend. I felt pretty full but happy to enjoy a meal. Overall my weekend wasn't horrible. I usually have to fight myself not to binge but I had no desire to binge at all. YAY steps int he right direction.

Only issue I need to conquer are my lunches at work. I made a Paleo Asian chicken soup with tons of veggies. I had a whole bowl of that with 2 clementines. I was hungry two hours later. I have to train tonight and I did not want to be hungry. So I had a luna protein bar and an apple with sunflower seed butter.

Do I need to up my fat at lunch to stay fuller? Urgh. It is so frustrating!

Yes! Fat stays with us longer than anything else in my opinion. Clementines are good - but really boil down to sugar...so you were hungry. Almond butter, or something like avocado - guacamole dip would take you to workout I bet. You could use Paleo crackers, or veggies to dip!

@ HCB Yes I keep telling my trainer maybe if I hadded more healthy fats to my lunch I wouldn't need to snack in between meals. But he is saying because I have excess fat on my body it isnt good to eat more fat. My body will burn the fat I eat rather than the fat on my body. I swear it contradicts everything I believe in. So now I am so confused on what to do about the fat vs carb thing. He is in incredible shape. Single digit BF% and he is a beast. But why do I feel adding fat and staying low/moderate carb can help me lose weight??? It all gets confusing

I'm new at this more fat thing but it's working for me and with no hunger. That's what's always been my struggle in the past, hunger. I like salad but didn't want to have to live on it the rest of my life. I just went through my closet and got rid of the baggy tops. Feels so good to look nice in my clothes and not be hungry!

NONE of us know all the answers. :) your trainer included. Just try different things, and use what works. :)

You all are right. I just hate eating then end up hungry in an hour or two. I think it has to do with not getting enough fat or not eating enough in general. I think I am going to try to eat more and see how that goes along with the scale. I just feel like I have been playing with trial and error for too longggggg

I was in Denver for the Snow show (SIA Show) My company has a booth there. I will be going next year so you can give me some places to go! I was dying to get to the paleo cafe they have there but missed it. I will have to go next year!

When I don't eat enough fat I'm hungry, period! I really really hate being hungry, I start looking around, what to eat what to eat. Rarely let myself get hungry now...

@ Rockiesfan Sure will do! @Rckc I hate the hungry feeling too, specially after eating a meal at work and not having more. I will get hungry again around 3 and have to train right after work so I get desperate to eat something to avoid being hungry while I train.Ill end up eating a luna protein bar for the sake of warding off the hunger pangs. Today I am trying to just eat more at my lunch and see how it helps

I thought protein really helped you stay fuller, longer. I'm not sure what your diet is like, but I try to eat 100g of protein a day (that's a challenge!). I know that after my protein shake I'm full for a few hours. Anyways, good luck!

I thought the same, But my protein is pretty good. My day consists of something like this: Breakfast: 4 eggs, 2 slices bacon, 1 cup steam veggie, 1 teaspoon butter Snack: Iced coffee with almond milk Lunch: Either meatballs in sauce with zoodles, chicken soup, dinner left overs. I always have a protein and veggie here. 1 piece fruit Snack: Apple and sunflower seed butter and/or clementine (sometimes I sneak dark chocolate) Dinner: salmon fillet, steamed veggies and/or potato, or steak with veggies etc I can easily up my protein with a protein shake between lunch and dinner
