Great Googly-Moogly! I am beat. Exhausted does not classify how I feel after today! We ordered 28 boxes of hardwood flooring nearly 2.5 weeks ago and went to pick it up today because the discounter does not deliver. So no strapping hot young muscled men to carry these beasts and load them into my home. TG they loaded the van. TG I had a van to pick it up in. But hubby and I had to unload these 28 oversized cartons full of hardwood at close to 75-80# each. I did aerobics in combo with heavy weightlifting in tandem with my sweetheart. I could not have done this alone. We moved over a ton of these boxes in less than 30 mins, with one 3 min, "OMW! I am going to collapse if you do not let me breathe," break. Because we were moving them out of the van up 4 steps and through 3 rooms (almost 36 ft) to where they now rest until we get to install them.



A year ago I unloaded over 1/2 a ton of tile for the bathroom/laundry room reno on my own and that was 50# in a box x like 22 boxes so I did like 2-3 then took a break of like 5-10 mins. It took me half the afternoon. So by comparison I see a difference in my capacity now from then. Pretty cool.

Have I ever mentioned I hate to sweat? Well, not so much hate as I have very tiny pores so I do not sweat efficiently and thus my body does not cool down efficiently. So, I get red in the face and look like I am about to hurl or have a heart attack after short stints of major effort. My son suffers the same as me. Which leads to not wanting to sweat or need to sweat on purpose - you know like when you... I dunno -- workout, one of those thingys you need to do in life to stay healthy which is MOVE. :P Yeah, I looked like a tomato ready to burst out of it's skin after being boiled this afternoon. But after all the exertion I splashed some water on my face and drank a bottle of water and I got past it.

But it is my turn to shower and believe me it is more than needed.

My mom does they same thing you do. What a great workout you had, will you get another in by putting the flooring down or is a contractor doing it for you?

I will be painting once cntractor is done with tapping and mudding drywall. then electrical for ceiling fan/light and switch, then hubby and I will install the HW floors ourselves. been watching videos how to. I love you tube (sometimes). I am impatient I want my kitchen back!!!
