Lost 2 pounds. I should be happy with that. I'm not. This time through Atkins my weight is dropping ever so slowly and I feel like I've given up so much. Maybe it's just the Monday blues. What choice do I have though? I either stick with this for life and hopefully eventually get to a normal body weight, or I give up. And if I give up then I will surely become fatter and stay obese and unhealthy. So I guess I keep going.

Two pounds is an awesome start! Being lean, strong and healthy is worth it. You can do it.

Great decision! Keep Going!! You can do this. You ARE doing this!! Don't turn back. Back is unhappy. Forward is better. Keep going!!

Two pounds is great! It's taken me almost 2 months to lose 5 lbs. Keep at it!

Me too. I lost .2 today, and after not cheating at all the picnics this past week end- I gained. It's so frustrating, but it will come off. The most important thing is to not give up. Just keep trying.

We all would love to lose our weight faster. It always seems to go on faster than it comes off and that is such a frustration. Going back or doing nothing is not going to make you feel better about yourself. One of my FS friends reminded me a while back that this is not a horse race...I am not competing with anyone but myself. Slow and steady may not seem like fun but it does eventually get there. I am thinking about making smaller goals as when I think 37 pounds more, it seems so far away. Maybe breaking down what you need to lose in smaller amounts would help you see your accomplishments readily. Hang in there....2# is a great start.

the last time I did Atkins I lost 67lb in 6 months. this time, which is my 3rd time if we are being honest.. its been 7 months and ive only lost 47 .. so every time is different and I believe it gets harder as we get older. Hang in there..

wow thanks everyone! So nice to read all your great replies. :) I've been back on Atkins for 4 full weeks now and lost about 11 pounds. That is actually a good weight loss. So I'm just going to hang in there, and maybe, if I am brave, not even weigh in next Monday but wait an extra week.
