Ginsin's Journal, 28 March 2015

Been 5 days since I wrote...I'll say it again, those cloudy days bring me down. One pound less, and still doing well. I feel confident that I will not be giving up anytime soon, I realize that at my age it's now or never. The metabolism of sugar and carbs is something I have to just stay focused on. I may indulge ever so slightly because at a certain age, the body just transfers it all to the belly. What a difference it makes to cut those FAVE foods out. The transformation is amazing. Did I tell you all how much I love PASTA??? LOL Don't need sauces, just some pasta and black pepper and I was "happy". Yes, I got those carb highs probably higher than most. Nope not cookies, cake, soda, pasta and cheese....such a great combo. Idiot me, while reading about the East Village fire had to click into an article about pasta yesterday, after counting the very few times I've had in 8 weeks, I am now CRAVING a GIANT bowl. I know a little goes a long way, but don't want to eat trigger foods right now. This too shall pass. Have a great weekend!

'At your age it is now or never?' lol it is a never ending battle. I have been fighting this war ever since I got out of the army almost 30 years ago now. You have to keep on, keeping on - never give up, every day is a new battle. I really understand about the cloudy days getting you down. I live off of the Great Lakes and it seems like we get more overcast days than sunny days. Whenever you get depressed, just look at where you have been and where you are now. You may have a journey ahead of you but you have made some real progress. Don't let it go to waste.

skydiverjim -- Off the Great Lakes, get out. I lived by the Lake Erie before moving to NYC. I loved being near the water. Thanks for the comment.
