Happy Super Bowl Sunday, FS Warriors! I''m actually typing while watching the 3rd quarter of the game. First half was pretty exciting, hope it picks up again. Neither are my team, so I really don't care who wins, just enjoy watching a close game. Church was called this morning on account of snow. It's been pretty constant since last night; I expect we will have pretty near 7 inches by tomorrow morning. I didn't plan on even going out today, but then a neighbor called and wanted to know if I would come and plow his driveway. Apparently he'd already cleared his drive pretty well once, but the snow plow came through and left a mountain at the end of the drive. The snow was heavy too. It was never really that cold earlier. It was a slushy mess. I plowed his drive, and then when I cleared off the apron, it was like a lake, and I had to make a path for the water to go somewhere. Then I did another drive, and then the lady across the street asked if I would do her drive and the road leading up to it. Then I thought, "What the heck, might as well pull the snow away from the school's foundation so there is less opportunity to leak into the foundation. By the time I got back in the house, I was ready for that chili simmering on the stove. DW also made wings based on what DD told her on the phone. She's a great cook; but the wings should have been put to rest. That's OK, plenty to eat; too much in fact, as usual.
Banged away on a couple of the guitars, though not at the same time. Always wanting to learn new songs, and I get impatient and try to take on too many new ones at a time, and always have to slow down, concentrate on one until I get it, and practice till it's right. Kind of like painting a car, you don't rush it; unless of course you are great, and a natural, which I am not. But, hallelujah, I like to make de noise!
BTW, the game has gotten exciting again. Haha! The temp is supposed to drop in the teens tonight. That means all that slush will be a scating rink come morning. It whould be a wonderful commute in the AM. Can't hardly wait. That alone makes retirement sound more and more appealing. If the economy keeps deteriorating, it may not be optional anyway. Well, enough rambliing for one day. This was not the day to start my dieting again, maybe tomorrow. Toodles!
