Good Afternoon, FS Warriors! Just winding down at work. Going to leave in about half an hour. Got up this morning at 3:30, and ran for 3.2 miles outside. It was cool at about 50 degrees but not bad. Nothing ever felt right about the run. My legs ached just above the ankles, and I never did feel like just stepping on out. It happens sometimes. Sometimes I think I'm my own worst enemy by trying to perfect my running form. It's not like I'm going to be a sub-three hour marathoner. I just need to do what comes natural, and let it go. I notice there's a big difference in my running comfort if I take the time to do a good gradual warmup, than just stepping out the door and jogging, even if I do go at a much slower pace. I found that walking for about 5 minutes, and then doing about 10 walk/run interval repetitions of jogging at a slow pace for about 15 sec and walking another 45 seconds, works best for me.
Got worship/nursing home practice tonight, followed by a showing of the God is Not Dead movie. I've seen the movie before and liked it; in fact, they are using my DVD to show it. I'm sure they will have finger food afterward, though I never cared much for fingers, cooked or otherwise.
Couldn't get my GPS watch to communicate with the computer this morning, though I am hoping it's more of a Nike website glitch than a problem with the watch. Anyway, Nike explains that the error code indicates a problem with the computer's USB port, but I'm a little skeptical of that since it does call up the software, goes into the charging mode, and attempts to upload the data to the Nike website. Seems more like a Nike problem. We'll see. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. Amazing how these manufacturers always know that it is a problem with your system.
Anyway, time to start packing up here. Enjoyed talking to you, but didn't find you to be much of a conversationalist. Could be I was hogging the show. In any case, hope you all have a wonderful evening, and I'll shout at you later. Toodles!
