Thank you all for the comments and support.. Really, this sight has been a life saver for me and help me to continue on when things get kind of bleak... For those that do not know me, if you look at my "food journal"- you might be wondering.. where are the veggies at... well I do eat a lot of veggies-- a lot of salads.. but I do not record them, it is my only "cheat" food (yes I do not record the dressing either) that I have. Yes I do eat a lot of salads.. basically when I feel like eating something just to be munching on something.. For those that look at my diet, might critize me on the frozen dinners (healthy choice, lean cuisine, etc etc), subway sandwiches--yeah I know that it might not be the "Best choice" to eat right now.. but with my wife and I are working different shifts, and it is only us living at home now-- it is the best choice that I have.. also I still have my sweet tooth, thank you Lord for Fiber One products (ok might not be the best choice either.. but...it helps!) And yes I do eat a lot of Subway Sandwiches (black forest ham)... the fat content is a lot lower then most burgers out there... It has been over a month that I have been going back and forth from 280 to 285- kind of discouraging.. then I hit the 279 and thought wow, the "drought is over and now going back to losing again... then I hit 282 range-- I almost wanted to say, what the heck I give up.. but thanks for the support in this group, i kept going. I wish that I had the net at home, and a laptop or a pc- the only thing that I have right now is a tablet, and very limited access to the net- so I can not be as supportive as I would like to be for others. Char, right now motiviation is very hard for me---to keep going. When I started this journey I started to lose bout 5 lbs a week- which is great-- now like I said it is hard for me to stay focus at times. Last week I went over almost daily my RDI.. not sure why...well yes I do, apathy and depression has set in. I started out on this journey due to the doctor scaring me to death.. with the test results... scared me straight.. I am bipolar, but almost the extreme case of bipolar-- the normal bipolar attacks happens months at a time.. three to four months feeling pretty good to feeling pretty great, then the downswing of three to four months being pretty depressed.. At one time, I was on basically hours cycle.. couple of hours being on the upswing.. then boom the bottom fell out.. Recently I have noticed that my cycles are in weeks.. one to three weeks feeling pretty depressed, then one or three weeks feeling great. I right now getting out of the depressed state.. well maybe a month not weeks of up and then down. Bipolar really stinks for those that suffer from it. A friend of mine posted on facebook a "joke" bout bipolarism... I responded that I know that they did not mean any hurt by it, but it is not a joking matter...No response back from my friend, and we are still talking.. Sorry folks for being long winded, I do not know the kiss method (keep it simple stupid),,, Again thanks for the support and comments... God bless ya!

Nice loss Hoosier. Depression is tough, my wife struggles with it and has gone through some extreme treatments intended to help. It's my belief that she is bipolar because she will also have swings of being really good and then things can come crashing down very quickly. Hang in there, in the tough times try and hang on to knowing that it'll pass and better times are ahead. :)

Hey Hoosier436 - i have been diagnosed as bipolar "2", much milder form of it, basically depression with some swings - and, looking back, i have been on a HUGE upswing for a while - chasing my masters degree, exercising daily, losing weight. Thing is - a site like this - is perfect for us. And without a doubt, without exercise, I would be bleak as the darkest night. without exercise, and a diet that aids in my overall health (for the most part), my serotonin levels would be so low. but even better, the support you get on this site, for your journey, is invaluable. many good folks always there to lend a word of encouragement. those things add up. hang in there. you are right, no joking matter, but you taking control of your health through diet and exercise, is a great step to regulating.
