Happy Day, My Best Buddies!

This first week of February has been productive - my averages are 68% fat, 23% protein and 9% carbs, and my NET carbs are under 20 grams. Better numbers than January, so I am hitting some of my goals.

I went to the gym today and one of the staff said, "Hmmm, are you losing weight?" Then my favorite trainer who was about to teach class said, "Wow, you are just getting smaller."

These people see me four or five days every week - so something must be shifting!

Also, does anyone think it is weird I have heard nothing from the endocrinologist although I sent him a fax February 1st? Perhaps it was too cranky for him...

MY CURRENT GOAL: Discuss changes with endocrinologist (SENT HIM A FAX ON FEBRUARY 1st), try for lower carb percentage, lift heavier at the gym and see caliper bodyfat move down in February.

MY LONG RANGE GOAL: Body fat at 26% or less and scale weight in the 150's or less

You should give a followup call to the endo's office to make sure they received it and he saw it. He may also be waiting for your next appt to discuss it with you otherwise.

@NewNormal - yes I will probably call this coming week, I told him I felt like crap and it was not going so well, and also wrote if he is "just going to draw blood for another reading and will follow the numbers instead of how I feel, then what's the point?" He probably didn't appreciate me writing that part...

IMHO, it is rude to have no response. Only excuse would be that it failed to transmit. Give them a call.

You are doing so well, and I look to you for inspiration. I'm going through transitional phase, so It's encouraging to hear from someone so well focused.

I got cranky with one of my doctors but I don't feel my concerns were addressed properly. Her reply didn't help either. I'm torn about returning or finding a new one

Actually, I like my endocrinologist but this ain't my first rodeo with the alterations of thyroid medications. They like to go by the bloodwork even if you feel crappy. It makes me irritable...I will say, though, since I increased my protein my metabolic process seems better, but it may be temporary.

HCB, hoping your doc will be happy with your changes. Docs generally have zilch for nutrition and exercise training. I am so lucky I have one that has had some training and understands and supports my craziness about doing everything possible all natural.

Awesome complements!!! Sorry your doc has not gotten back to you. Sometimes a phone call pushes responses especially if you let the front desk person know you are waiting on a response.
