I'm terrible injured and proportionately discouraged. I'm used to a 1-1.5 hour workouts 5-6 days a week. Since my injury last Thursday morning all I can do is go from bed to chair. My wife and I did go to lunch with another couple yesterday after church and the ride was a challenge. I've never been hurt this severe this long. I have no idea what to expect as to how long healing will take, and to what degree or recovery I should expect.

I am so sorry you are losing ground due to the injuries. A lot of work seems to be going down the drain, I know. Some deeply personal advice: My only excuse is- I was a teenager. I busted both lower leg bones in my ankle at 17 and ignored the doctor telling me not to walk on the cast. I have not been able to run since. I am now 64 and still regret not listening to the doctor's instructions. Take care of yourself and heal properly. Don't "suck it up" against doctor's orders and live to regret it. Maybe you can find an alternative route for self-improvement while you wait it out, so you can see a different type of "gains" in the interim. Good luck dealing with it; I know it's hard. AND painful.

Hey, that's miserable, but thank goodness you didn't smack your head hard on something on the way down when you had your accident. That you might not have recovered from--this you will! Hang in there, so your body can heal.
