Hi everyone,
I don't know if we are allowed to talk about products on here - but I found these new cupcake type things called smartcakes. I think they are really good - 38 calories, 4 net carbs, gluten free. Sounded too good to be true. I got all 3 flavors - choc, coconut, orange. I liked them all. It is a really good treat and very filling b/c of the fiber. Didn't raise my blood sugar. I ate 3 of the darn things (they are very small) the first day because of course I had to try all of the flavors. I checked my blood sugar in an hour and it didn't go up at all. Best if kept in the fridge. And they do crumble apart a little bit, but not too much. Of course, as always, I have to make rule around eating them. Tue, Thur, Sat. Except today I had two b/c last night I wanted to eat sooo bad that I made a deal with myself if I held out during my fast I could eat a package today.

Funny the mind games we play with ourselves? Sometimes I know I am acting like a child with some of these food issues. I just want to scream, "Get over it already you can't eat the damn thing." LOL

Does everyone have a strategy for Sunday? I am changing my fasting schedule tomorrow and Sunday so that I can eat during the Pens game and the Superbowl. I am going to make my cauliflower pizza for Saturday and make these sandwiches on Sunday but I am only eating the guts, no bread. Maybe I will make another pizza. Hard to eat sandwich without bread. It's hot so it's not the type that goes good on a lettuce wrap. I can't eat those low carb wraps b/c I am allergic to soy protein isolate which is always in them.

I personally only talk about stuff, I personally tried or used. I don't see why sharing what were trying or using , especially if it works, is a bad thing to share.too much info on some forums, gets confusing and not real valuable info anymore. I just got a Blood Glucose & Ketone Monitoring System, I have decided that my sunday will be my "cheat day" where I stick to low carb just not the strict 20g like I do rest of the week. during the week I do IF keto calories restrictions atm.sunday for my house is when everyone is home and they want brunch....I kinda don't want to cook for everyone and be fasting =)

for me cheat is above 20 g of carbs, which so far the highest cheat day has been 32. @8Patty yeah my testing shows I am currently. was recommended a breathe monitor as its more accurate, but it'll have to wait. My strips I have indicates I am in ketosis, and it feels like I have been since wednesday.And no I dont break from low carb just have allowed a higher percentages of carbs that days is all to accommodate toast with my eggs that day..lol

I just got them last night! I am waiting for my pizza screen - it was recommended by them b/c it will make it crispier. I am hoping to get it tomorrow so I can make a 9" pizza on Saturday or Sunday. I don't go over 20 total carbs if I can help it but sometimes I will allow for 20 net carbs. The smartcakes have 9 (4 net) and the caulfilower have 6 (3 net). Do you go with 20 total or net carbs?

I go by 20g Carbs (7%, 100 kcal) not net carbs, or it probably be higher. I'm just doing the actual grams, not the net carbs atm...just until I get to my desired weight, then I'll maybe do net carbs and have all my tests done again, see where I am at..and then just get my macros redone and stick with those to maintain. I'll still probably do IF even when I reach my goals.I have a table to help me do the math for net carbs, Im just too lazy..lol

Shelly have you tried the fat head pizza and bread recipes yet? Maybe might be what your looking for?

I go by the actual also and stay under 20, blood ketones have remained at .09 all week.

Hi Keara and Patty...wow i must be behind the times bc i never heard of fathead pizza until just now. I looked it up and yeah that is one awesome recipe!
