Couldn't figure out why my blood sugar was higher after a good hike through the woods so like most things, I googled it. When you work out your body demands more glucose for your muscles to use. When you have diabetes and there isn't enough insulin in your system, your muscles can't use the glucose and it ends up just bring dumped into your bloodstream. Real nice. Here I am trying to improve my health and that is going on. I am not sure what I would do to counteract that.
Then like a big dummy I pigged out on bacon. Well what did I think was going to happen? I used up most of my daily calorie allowance on non nutritious garbage.
Think Shelly, THINK.

Yes, the bacon didn't make the insulin situation any worse, so actually it was a good choice. And if you ate bacon, you probably weren't that hungry later anyway. Maybe you ate just what you needed!

I agree with Drag. At least you got some protein, and the fat will keep you from getting hungry in 20 minutes. Look into Dr. Jason Fung on YouTube. He works with diabetics mostly, and reverses the disease quickly.

Thanks everyone! I went over calories for the day but no junk or binge eating.
