Up 2 lbs when I'm only eating 1 full and glorious meal a day? That can't be right, calories under or at 2000 kcal. My mood has stabilized, I don't feel as stressed, I decided to quit MJ for the reasons of munchies at night, walking 25 min a day maybe 4 times a week. Eating between 4 and 8 pm but not LCHF because I don't want to torture myself if I'm only eating once a day. I've been praying more, trying not to use cuss words around the house. I thought I was cleaning up my act... I wonde why I'm not losing. I must need more water!!

2,000 seems high. I need to be much lower than that to lose weight, and I started out at only six pounds less than your current weight. Check out some weight loss/calorie calculators on the web. (The FS RDI tends to be too high for weight loss.) Congrats on the major life changes! Good job quitting the green alien!

Thanks Kpwcalories.. I thought maintenance calories worked but you are right! 2000 might be way too high! Hopefully the quitting of the green lasts longer than a week! Hahaha but I'm determined this time!

Smarty you are too funny. We would be quite good friends. You remind me a lot of myself. I have a bad language problem too. Well it is 10:30 so might as well walk the streets and see where trouble exists here......and I won't have to walk far. This place is such a trip. The things you see are from a Men In Black Movie, very alien! Lol

You have to continually tweak your diet, your meal plan, and your mind. So many foods in your kitchen will not help you to lose weight and keep it off. Who have got to come to better terms with the things listed below and figure out how to no longer have them in your life - or maybe like I do - once a month: Coffee, Whole Milk. Pace Carnitas Slow Roasted Pork, Mexican Rice, Broccoli, Mission Foods White Corn Tortilla, Trader Joe's Salsa Verde, Kroger Cocoa Puffed Cereal, Whole Milk, Lindt Excellence Extra Fine Dark Chocolate 85% Cocoa, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi  
Smarty, you may want to try LCHF for 6 of the meals and one meal higher carb, I have not looked at your food diary, but I know for me that anything with flour or wheat bloats me and causes water retention which usually causes a gain.

Ditch the carbs, sweetie. Even with IF, what you eat is important. I agree with Debra...wheat is a killer.

Good morning farmer Deb and Carmen! Smarty is still sleeping, california time :) - only wannabee would be up at this hour on the west coast - going for a bike ride before the heat. And Deb would get up before the roosters crow. I couldn't sleep so was also up at 5 am UGH!

I am good Carmen. Yes, Deb does real work out there on the farm- there is actually no way around it. She could tell you best but I would imagine, farm life, the things that are involved, can't be "put off til tomorrow".  
Water is a huge reason why I am able to lose the weight. I never was able to easily. But since I started, not only am I losing, but I'm coaching friends how to also. And it's working!!! At least 4 16.9 ounce bottles minimum per day. Drink it by dinner time or you'll be up all night in the bathroom. And the calorie count is to high to lose. Maybe that number is supposed to be to maintain.

2000 calories is too much even if you are eating one meal. Also the quality of what you choose also is important. Doing one meal IF is not meant as free for all meals. Water is essential, too.

Good morning (afternoon) guys! Nunnya I cook all that food from scratch but log it as packaged to save time (except the coffee, milk, chocolate and cereal and tortilla) but still I'm not sure maybe it's the cereal or the wheat like everyone mentioned giving me bloat. It's hard to go all natural here, maybe I cheated during the 1 day a meal by grabbing a handful of cereal early in the day!

Haha Warren, my husband is constantly telling me to watch my language. It's a big effort to watch the bad words... As you know! Wow men in black themed? How cool is that! They should make more Forensic Files type shows and less Real Housewives crap! I misunderstood, I thought the son was with you guys, but it's more romantic if he's not for sure! I understand your wife's point of view!

HCB you are right about the quality of food- I was sticking to LCHF so good for a few months, it probably is the best way to drop weight.
