Sugar Cat's Journal, 08 June 2016

Well so far I haven't done too bad in the "food" category. I am taking things slow, trying to keep from shocking my system, feeling deprived, and going on another binge. We shall see what the evening holds. Evenings are the most challenging for me when it comes to my willpower. Hope all is well with you, my friends.

Evening are hard for me too. I can't just sit and was TV without eating something. I know I'm only hurting myself when I do. Working on a cross stitch, crochet coaster or hot pads or plastic craft helps me. Doing some busy work with your hands may help or writing friendship notes might help. Just keeping a daily journal of you thought can help. The time I spend on fatsecret with journal and comments to members helps me; I haven't eaten anything for the past 2 hours.

I also feel like I have to eat when I watch TV. I have to ask myself if why I feel "hungry": am I really just feeling bored? Or am I actually just thirsty? I read that many times when we think we are hungry, we are actually just in need of something to drink. For some reason our brains give out similar signals for "hunger" and "thirst" so it may be difficult to tell the difference somtimes.
