I'm back up to basically starting point, thanks to going waaaay overboard on carbs. It's the same old story, do good for a week, lose 5 lbs, blow it for 3 days, gain back 5 lbs. I have realized or have been realizing that when my fridge starts getting low on low carb foods, I turn to other people's food for convenience. It's hard to take my 3 toddlers to the grocery store, my twins are always knocking things over, scream, climb out of the cart, it's no fun. So... Today I think I will do a Fasting... Just drinks no food. That might deplete some of the "water" weight and jump me back into Ketosis. The key is to not give up, not change diets, just keep going! It's a new day, I can start again fresh!

A good 24 hour Fast will definitely go VERY far for throwing you right back into Ketosis. We all fall off the wagon lil lady. All that matters is getting back on. Nobody wants to lay in the mud right?

Feels! I did a planned cheat day the day before starting the 10% challenge and went up 5 lbs from it overnight. I had half a pizza, breadsticks with nacho cheese sauce, and 2 slices of chocolate cake and it took over a week to get back to where I was the day before the noms. It's okay though because I know needed to cave a little to prevent a full on disaster in the upcoming 12 weeks. It just sucks how much of a damn sensitive asshole my body is when it comes to carbs. Stupid delicious carbs!

That's why I am so strict on myself. If I allow myself even a moments weakness I know I may never come back from it.

NOOOOOOO I surely don't. I try to stick to real food, but I have been doing an almond milk/benefiber mix for lunch this week to keep things moving. It's still kinda bad though because the mister got the regular instead of unsweetened almond milk. I'm still losing and staying in ketosis though so I'm gonna use it til it's gone.

Sister, I fast 7 days a week. 16 hour fasts per day, and 2 24's per week. I don't expect anyone to do like me though. I just eat enough fat that I am literally never hungry. I eat because I KNOW I have to eat. I am just never hungry on LCHF. That's why I can do the 24's without even realizing its been a whole day. Heck I did it today and didn't even WANT to. I just woke up too late to eat breakfast. Lol. But, now I don't need to do my 24 tomorrow. And I was a PORKER. So If I can do it. ANYONE can. lol.

Good luck there, Smarty! I hope it works well for you! I went to Costco, and probably gained just trying out all their demo handouts. I went way, way overboard too. I got tons of all kinds of flavored water, and easy fix stuff, like fish and spreads stuff, that I tasted. They are good at luring you in to buy that crap they demo. Don't go there when you are hungry, that's what I just learned.

I love my grocery store... I order online, go to a drive through, they load my truck and I go home. so I don't have to worry about kids going nuts. do you have a store like that maybe??

That's really smart hunter! Not only do you not have to worry about the kids...but most of the stuff I/we should NOT have in this house are the impulse purchases that weren't on the list to begin with.

exactly, i only get what's on the menu.. .and when I'm about to order.. if there is anything crappy on the order I usually delete it last min ... helps keep me out of the ice cream isle LOL

Wench. Were you WATCHING me check out with a couple of the new Dreyers Slow Churned flavors last nite? On the upside, I restocked up on grapefruit which I've re-discovered thanks to you!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm grapefruit. .so good!!! LOL seriously I used to get a little tub of hagen Daz every shopping trip .. I was so horrible for that! again.. online shopping keeps you honest.

I'm weird...I really don't like high fat food - even ice cream. I've always preferred "lighter" versions (in the dark ages, it was actually called Ice Milk!) The Dryers/Edys Slow Churned IS still ice cream...but it's a bit lower in calories and doesn't leave me with that mouth full of crisco feeling. I feel like a drug pusher here!
