Amazing isn't it. Just ADD something to your calories and you'll lose weight? What a deal!

Northern must be talking about starvation mode, quick, scarf the nearest cheeseburger, fries, and chocolate shake, you'll be down a couple of pounds by morning!

2 things too...firstly going over calories happens, no biggey especially if next day (or two) you average down...secondly, I shake my head at weight loss plans that sell you food, what the flip!! Mini rant over....you're doing great Hunter, keep it up!!

At least you're one of the smart ones, detecting gimmicks and scams. Every marketing professional wants to take your money in exchange for empty promises. Even that Asian guy on Youtube, Mike Change, is trying to sell a "drink powder" that supposedly makes you shredded. In reality, it costs almost absolutely nothing to lose weight, it certainly is way cheaper than those magic pills/powders. The only thing that costs zero dollars is intermittent fasting, but that's an entirely different subject all together. Keep up the good work!

Ya she was saying how she is going to fix my coffee habbit and that she sells advocare.... so I explained my diet and the roll coffee takes and she laughed at me..... luckily for her she is the mom of my son's friend or I might have had some choice words.... my mom put me on slim fast when I was younger...I gained weight ... and herbalife... I gained more ... my mom always wanted a quick fix for my sister and i and our weight issues. then I was on a reduced carb diet around 13 and lost 30 pounds over a summer... I kept the weight off until I was 21. so I'd rather just change my diet, I know it works.... gimmicks make me fatter. my sister went vegan to lose 100 pounds and that worked fine for her family. it was working for me and I loved it but my family would fight me on it everyday so it was hard to maintain. LCHF has been easier to incorporate into my life and is so far working so I guess this is my rout to lose my 100 pounds.... I just don't understand why she feels the need to laugh at my choice ... people on here do other diets and that's fine with me.. whatever works for you, all the power to you....I dont want to laugh at people, I want them to succeed in whatever way works best for them. I guess some people are just assholes (I wonder if the site will correct my swearing lol) oh well.... I'm not too worried but it surly is annoying. again, I'm on a mom swap site so I can sell my toddlers baby stuff and every day someone is selling weight loss crap... so I made a post of my own lol! I explained that they could go to dietdoctor and do it for just the price of groceries and that I wasn't selling anything ... the gimmick women didn't like that HA HA HA HA !!

Good for you Hunter...bet you got some of those ladies to swallow their gum!!! I confess that I don't follow a LCHF diet, but I have much respect for it and dietdoctor.com AND the research that Supports it. I know that not only does it work, it works really well for fast and/or long term sustained weight loss, as you don't feel as hungry while you're on the steady drop. For me I'm chosen a slower path, trying to be more on a lifestyle maintenance program that has a slight downward trend. Keep trending down, take care!!

if that is what works for you and your life then that is wonderful!!! I'm very happy you found your path :D

You said it perfectly. Not one 'diet' or life style plan is for everyone. We each pick what works for us. I was on low fat, calorie counting, diet pills and any thing else that was toted as good for weight loss. Nothing work for long and some not at all until I found LCHF. It works for me,(when I stick to it) but may not work for my neighbor. Live and let live.. Hang in there. I was way over in calories yesterday, but fat was 71%, Protein 20% and Carbs 9% and I'm down this week. I'm proud of you Hunter, {{HUGS}}, donna

You crack me up. You are so kickass, in a practical way. Good for you!

Thnx hunter...and very happy for you too, you and we have some great examples and teachers here! @dboza...agreed. I also could have gone on and on about the health benefits of LCHF versus low fat (especially regarding type 2 diabetes) but I'm assuming that most people here Know these things. While I do eat carbs (not all) regularly, fat on average is still my largest percentage macro in my diet and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Those effing witches on those effing sites! If you say that there plan is for you then that should be it, not start sniping because ppl aren't interested. Me personally I am on the 'love food plan' which is great should you want an ever expanding waistline. I like fancy dresses too so I'll try to counter balance with fun tasty food occasionally and exercise. That's my thing which I don't push on anyone else.... They should be of the similar thinking.... And how has your day been? 😆
