Nisey's Journal, 27 January 2016

Well for my January resolution of 2016 I have decided to give up drinking wine, chocolate bars, junk food (chips etc..) and high carb foods such as flour, bread, prepared noodles and regular pasta. I also am trying to dedicate myself to being healthier and exercising more or moving more. To accomplish this large feat I have moved to my condo in Florida for the winter season just me and my dog. He motivates me to walk alot more so we have been visiting alot of dog friendly parks in the area and loving it! Also found a dog beach which I absolutely love as he can be leash free. I try to keep myself busy and motivated as much as I can by swimming in the pool too and riding my tricycle. I'm taking baby steps due to the pain in my knees due to arthritis. Some days its good and others it is painful but I keep moving anyway. So I've lost 10 lbs so far. I think this is a good start. I did regain some weight in the fall due to additional stress relating to my dogs eye surgery nightmare.I will try my best to continue in this manner as it is working for me.
261.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 61.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 0.1 lb a week

Good for you! I too am "trying" to eliminate my cocktail hour. Not easy but as you say babysteps, one step at a time! I have looked up the calorie counts of my favorite adult beverages and it is astounding! My retirement life is like Friday everyday! This is my first time commenting. 10# loss for you...keep it up...yahooo!
