Rectangle ones are used in gymnastics practice. They have a better bounce. My 8 y/o is now on team gymnastics and trains 15hrs a week. So, I finally gave in and got a trampoline and figured I'd get the one that's used in her class.

Yes, that's her. Her progress has improved drastically since switching from 2hrs of Rec gymnastics to team. The long hours are a bit hard with school. We are looking forward to summer break starting next week.

Shes impressive! It is long hours. My coworkers granddaughter is in gymnastics. She was top of her age group at last competition. Shes 9 i believe. Its rewarding, but with rigorous training. Great foundation for healthy lifestyle as a pre-teen, teen and early adult! I wish my parents could have afforded me continuing gymnastics!

Kaylinrenee, I've never done one and my wife is telling me that I shouldn't attempt it. Lol

Dazey, I didn't have much growing up. Many of us didn't. We try to give our children a better childhood than we had.

No big kids in with little kids. When my grandson was 3, there was a horrible mishap. I took on look at his little arm and almost lost my lunch. He was fine after surgery, and is fine today. He's a 15 year old rocket scientist. We grandmas don't forget, though.

Hippie, I am aware that they can be dangerous. I haven't gotten one until now because I've seen so many trampoline injuries while working at Children's ER. We have rules that they need to follow. However, I'm sure someone will get hurt eventually. I hope that it won't be serious.
