Making some positive changes around here 💕 After 2.5 years working nights in ICU all during Covid I am going to dayshift inpatient acute rehab where patients get better and go home! I joined pf with my hubby and I can say best 25 dollars a month we can spend. Especially for the massage chairs not gonna lie! Really looking forward to getting off nightshift and being with the rest of the world 🌎

ICU nights is a killer. In my long nursing career I only did nights once, for a year. It was a killer. Everyone used that sugar high to stay awake. I hope you are enjoying your nursing career as much as I did. Loved going to work every day of my life. I miss it a lot but am still basically deep into it helping everyone I know navigate this fractured medical system.

I honestly hate nights and days. I graduated and went straight to mids in the ER. 11a-11p is an absolutely brutal shift. I did that for years. Then, I messed around with other mids. 1p-1a and 3p-3a were my favorite.

I worked 3-11 in the ER at a big University medical center for years. Loved it. Knife and gun club every night, heart and stroke center, sat at the junction of two major freeways. Lots of adrenaline pumping action, lots of fun.

That is great! My daughter had to quit her night shift as it was destroying her life! She got depressed, was isolated and exhausted all the time. Good for you!

24 years of straight midnights here. I love them. Sounds like days are for you though. Enjoy PF!

Gotta love the massage chairs! They took them away here, or rather they charge for them now. Anyhow, enjoy the changes!
