After two 'office chair' days I am ready for a good workout! Its funny how after you get used to moving you just plain feel bad if you don't.
I am all over the place with diet I know. Still trying to be mindful of carbs but needing to fuel my days adequately. I am keeping RDI down but macros are all over. I think I just need to find a routine.
I have made a big decision that I have been waffling about for years. I am going to stop colouring my hair...... I almost feel like I can't get on with my life until I own what I am right now instead of what I used to be.
You ladies with understand and maybe a few men. I may back slide with a few highlights but dammit I am going to let the grey hair shine proudly, I earned them.

Funny, I just read an article yesterday on how hard it is to maintain "silver" hair - stripping shampoo once a week, blue shampoo every other wash, shower head filters, etc. Then there is the expensive trips to a professional colorist to get the new growth to blend in while growing it out. Best of luck to you on that but it sounds like more than I can handle.

I'm so proud of you!! I'm working up the courage to go gray as well. I'm really, really gray and with my dark hair, I hate the idea of a growing out period, though.

Well everybody looks younger if they color their grey hair but if that's what will make you happy you do it. You can always change your mind later.

Wow - I think that is great - I have been coloring so long I do not know how I could transition without looking "Skunk-like"

Have been having this conversation with my hairdresser and she has assured me that she can color me into gray without making me feel like a "skunk"...hubby doesn't like the idea of gray so this will take a different approach....perhaps if I truthfully tell him the cost of coloring he will see the light:) Frankly, I am tired of coloring and I agree, that at some point that one must own what one has! And about looking old, there are many young women dying their hair gray as a part of their fashion statement...google that one, I was so surprised when I did! Whatever you decide, it will be perfect....

I started going grey hair in my 20s. I love it. I wouldn't color it for anything.

I stopped coloring my hair years ago and quite frankly I didn't have that much silver. I'm like my dad that way. My sisters, all younger, are all way grayed. Back in March I decided to makeover my hair and makeup to go with my new body. Turns out I had more silver than I thought and I ended up too blonde at first. Finally managed to fix it but I'm not going to keep it up. I'm ok with it the way it is. I'm one of the youngest people I know so no need to keep up.

Hello Nic, to address just the first sentence in your post...Yes, exercise always makes us feel better...we get the endorphins (sp) from the exercise AND the satisfaction of fulfilling a daily goal. YOUR consistency encourages ALL of us :)

I'm told salt and pepper hair looks ok on a guy so I guess I'm lucky? My wife colors her hair although I don't see the grey in it.

I don't know, think of all the money I would save on conditioner. Demi moore rocked it once.... Yeah no, lol.

When I had my hair cut short, I decided to stop colouring it every 6 weeks and just let it grow out. It still took nearly a year for it to be all natural. At first I liked it but then it just looked dull to me. I have opted for highlights every 8 month now. I might be getting old....But I am not ready to look it yet :)

I know the feeling I fight the grey battle as well but that means pale grey/silver at my temples mostly on dishwater blonde as it changes then I cannot stand to look at myself and color it. Too many changes right now for me to consider it. Need something that helps me feel confident even if it is a false sense of confidence. and bald is not an option. Dad was powder white at 55. I am only 11 yrs from that :O. You are braver than I, Nic.

I tried that a couple years ago, I didn't like it--mine also was a dull color. Went back to coloring it. I agree with the moving, I have to sit all day at work. There are times I just have to get up and move. You will figure you eating plan out, It took me a long time to adjust and re-adjust mine until it worked for me.
