So the numbers don't add up. If I gained 1.1lbs this week at daily average of 4011 but didn't gain at all last week at 3780, my workouts this week must not have been as intense I guess. Bulking is so much trickier than cutting.

100 percent bulking without going full on dirty bulking is tricky and frustrating AF!!

It is frustrating for sure. This 1.1 pound gain came this week but no gain last week. Therefore, I'm just over 0.5lbs/week. I'll keep it at 4k calories and see what happens. If I gain more than a pound again, I will lower it.

Dirty to 20% bf and then back down, rinse and repeat. Cutting is super easy in comparison for people who are "naturally"lean. I see guys try to stay ripped and end up looking the same year after year. It's like cutting super slow for an obese guy. They spin their wheels and end up back to the same weight by the time winter is halfway through. Even the professionals don't clean bulk and they have drugs to help. Look at Jay Cutler or Lee Priest in the off-season.

You won't like how you look at the end, but look out for that cut, you'll be happy you did imo. Or just ignore me and continue, it's possible, just difficult.

I'm probably 20+ still, but I like it to be honest. I'll be happier with he way I look at 180, for sure, but I'm in no hurry.

You eat 4011 daily! That’s awesome!! You must never feel hungry. I think you look great from your past pictures. Never thought I’d hear it’s hard to bulk but when you want to lose body fat, but build muscle, there’s definitely a science to it n

@Diablo, I am very tempted to do 4500-5000 calories and put on as much as possible. I know what you mean. Staying lean will kill the gains. This isn't a long bulk and I probably won't come out much different, maybe 5lbs of lean mass. My plan is to start my big bulk September 1st. It will give me much more time for muscle growth.

@Storms, that is not the case at all. The past couple of nights I had trouble sleeping because I was hungry. I've hit 4300+ on those nights and only stopped because I was afraid of going too high.
