3rd day of Strict Paleo.

So far so good!! The past 2 days I have had one tiny piece of 75% dark chocolate as a treat. I would stop at that. For the last few weeks I havn't been able to stick strictly to my paleo diet without cravings. I started reading a new blog for paleo readers. Somehow it just inspired me. I now refuse to buy meat from he local grocery stores (now I buy from local grass fed humane farms online) and I am more careful of the products I put into my body. It was like a light switch...on Monday I just stopped.. I began eating on average 30g carbs a day. I have been eating very healthy and now I have no cravings for processed food. What the heck happened???? Just last week I couldn't pull it together. Well I don't want to jinx this. I really hope I can keep this up. I am feeling less hungry do to the foods I eat. I don't need to snack in between meals anymore. I have tea if anything. Only thing that is poopy is the fact I am so tired. I think it has to do with the fact I am getting 6 1/2 hours of sleep and the switch to strict paleo/low carb has got me. But I am pushing through. I plan to work harder to get more sleep

Good for you, I hope this diet plan works out for you. Carbs are what our bodies preffer to use as fuel, your body needs time to adjust to your new way of eating.

This is my 3rd day as well of eating strict and sticking to my diet. I also have been feeling tired from the lack of sleep/diet change. I'm glad my cravings have been buckled down and yours. You got this! We can do it! Stay strong!

Sometimes it works to make a lot of changes at once. Looks like you are moving in the right direction!

That sleep deficit is killer, I have struggled with that for years. It makes everything else all the harder. Glad you are feeling better otherwise though.

@ Meohmy That is awesome! Stay strict! It sounds like you are doing fine !!! Today my energy is actually better even though I didn't sleep much more, So far so good. @glen- Yes yes I know. This Saturday I am sure to sleep in. I am happy about that @Buffy I agree with you. Sometimes going cold turkey is the way to do it. It seems to be working fine for me now @nickolalx THe lack of sleep makes cravings for me more apparent. But for some reason I don't have a desire to act on any cravings. If anything I have a piece of 75% dark chocolate and leave it at that. I notice I feel the best eating fatty foods like eggs/bacon. And doing this I notice I eat less often because I stay full. But my goal now I to try to get more sleep
