jmb3450's Journal, 13 January 2015

Just finished my most intense workout so far, only 30 minutes of cycling but at a high level of resistance and minimum of 17mph. Had my heart rate up to 135 in the first 10 minutes and kept it between 140 to 146 the last 15, in the 80% max heart rate range. I'm sure there's many people here who can put that to shame but for me this feels good. Best part is, no chest discomfort at all. I'm much stronger than I was months ago. My dream is when I have my next stress test in April the cardiologist will tell me I've got increased blood flow to the area of my heart that was restricted. Maybe just a dream but it's possible.

Great job! I use a heart rate monitor and interval between 80% and 90% of my rate - so YOU are doing awesome at 80% - that is the best fat burning range, too!
