Ouch ouch ouch - Well there many things to be thankful for - the level of medical expertise - smaller cuts instead of one bigger opening - and because of you and all of your prior hard work --- you were in better shape pre-op than most men half your age ---- that is big decider on how easily your recovery will be. You are actively right on top of your own recovery. Commendable. ( my body does the same - an expert at turning muscle to fat - almost over night)

The healing of the flesh is the thing to promote since they are such deep wounds - it takes a well for the inner to heal - the healing predominates the restoration of muscles. Eat really well - keep the wounds clean - promote healing.

You can tell it’s mostly swelling! You are going to get through this just fine. Try to focus on protein for healing, and maybe include a collagen supplement (will help with the aesthetic/scar aspect, if you are concerned). Also, look up abdominal vacuuming on YouTube. Can you do body weight squats/lunges? Do you have a weight vest? It seems like weighted walks would be good, it’s not “technically” lifting, but would increase the overall intensity of the workout. Food for thought. We are cheering for you.

Multiple non prostate related entry points for internal inspection i guess. You have written about wrecked abdominal but i thought you exaggerated. Now it is clear what you have meant. Any way, you are clean. The rest will be fixed.

thank you Jergens123. I have been very careful as to not do anything strenuous to case a setback. However, I had such a rough post-op beginning I reverted to comfort foods for "pain relief." I'm shocked I haven't gained 10 lbs.

allegra40 thanks for the cheering. No, I can't do lifts of any kind, walking and living is pretty much it. I don't have a weight vest but would love it, however I wouldn't use it until the surgeon releases me. I can't believe I've finally arrived at the age where I'll actually listen to the professionals :) lol
