lately i've been making a really good, protein-filled snack. take a pouch of chunk light tuna, pour it in a bowl, mix it with a tablespoon of mustard(regular yellow or fancy dijon, your choice bro), tablespoon of mayo(sometimes i'll cut the mayo in half and add a half tablespoon of olive oil to keep the unhealthy fat levels down, or i imagine it'd be good with olive oil mayo or vegenaise), and a medium sized pickle. mix it up and eat with a fork out of the bowl for a small but powerful snack, or add it to a few slices of whole grain bread and some swiss cheese for a more standard meal. hell, you could even pop it in a toaster oven for a bit to make a cheap tuna melt.

in addition to eating healthier, i've also been keeping up with my multivitamin and have been washing my face regularly. i'm also trying to recycle more and keep my area clean at school and home.

i went to a Sprout's Farmers Market yesterday. it was AMAZING! they had an entire makeup counter for natural makeup lines, and it was everything little vegan me from 2010-2011 would have loved to buy everything from. i would love to go there and shop more when i have a little bit more money, but for now i settled for some vegan ramen(which was slightly disappointing to be honest), and a jar of local honey, for use in tea and in my homemade face mask.

speaking of money, the holiday season is kicking off at aveda. i made $60 in tips last saturday, and was nonstop busy all day. it was my first packed day on the floor, having six different clients all with long hair(with the exception of a men's cut on a very nice Argentinian man studying in the US) was quite an experience. i was more exhausted than i'd been in a long time, but i felt incredibly accomplished by the end of the day. i hope to up my retail sales and hopefully keep up the tip amount throughout the holidays as well!
