Daddy Manatee's Journal, 09 March 2022

Good morning. It’s been a bit since I have been on. Returned from my trip last night around 11pm. Eating on this trip was bad and not much exercise. Fortunately the places our hosts took us to eat were disappointing. I could not eat the entire serving. (Disappointing is a generous description) the trip was full of late nights, sleeping in, eating out and great memories. Time to get back at it and get ready for my next trip. I know the food will be much better on the next trip, headed to Fort Bragg on CA coast.

Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed and endured. The key is to keep going and trying when you are enduring life, and recognize it when you are enjoying it. I are horrendously on my trip and I was with people I love and excited to have me there, so no big deal for me. I will get back to putting the work in to stay the course and continue to live life. Have a great day everyone.

What are your favorite places for meals when you go to Fort Bragg? A year or so I discovered the Laurel Street Deli (or bakery). They are right by the Skunk Train depot. I got a Chinese chicken salad to go. It was huge and delicious. Their baked goods look wonderful but I have resisted so far. On my last trip I saw someone being served a French dip sandwich - next time I'll get that. I also love Silvers on the wharf. They allow dogs on their upstairs patio and even have a special menu for them. Bobby got a prime rib bone there - he had never had anything like it and left us alone for the whole meal while he worked on it.

Kat, Its a small town but really cool! We enjoy going there, usually get a hotel room on the little harbor there.

Fritzy I enjoy eating at the hotel we stay in and finding different spots around town. I do enjoy the ice cream parlour!

Katsolo - It really isn't easy to get to Fort Bragg/Mendocino so it's hardly ever crowded. Daddy, I enjoy the ice cream shop too. I don't go to many different places to eat because I often have my dog with me. So I go where I can get take out. There is a deli in a convenience store that I really like to go for a sandwich. I think it is called Niello's or something close to that.
