OH what a day, what a day........work is kicking my butt.....bah....

In funnier news, I had a standoff with a raccoon this morning on my walk. I was approaching a small pavilion in a park I walk thru, complete with a couple overflowing garbage cans. Well, I see what I thought was a dog walking towards the cans (at 5am, it was still dark out)...boy, was I mistaken. It was a GIANT raccoon, this thing was the same size as my 30lb dog, easily! Well, I stomped my feet a few times thinking it would scare it off, oh no way! The thing stood up on its hind legs, like "oh yeah, you want some of me?"...well, I stood there a minute thinking it would eventually just run away, it did not. And since I'm not a fan of rabies I decided to back down and go back the way I came....apparently the wildlife does not like me....

Hmmmmm, I suppose I should mention things about my weight loss journey too....gained a few pounds on vacation, currently flushing out the crap I ate, getting back into my workout regimen...that's about it....

Happy Tuesday! (it is Tuesday right???!!!)

Sounds like you had quite the adventure this morning! I used to have ENORMOUS racoons fighting outside my bedroom window when I lived in Washington State. They would keep me and my little chihuahua, Bob Barker, up all night! Those little masked bandits can be MEAN and as big as a Labrador Retriever! Although I didn't really gain weight on my last vacation in June (a week-long camping trip to Gettysburg, PA) I didn't lose any weight either (I blame the tequila), but I was quickly back on track and losing again in no time once I returned. I'm sure it'll be the same for you as well! Focus, consistency and a positive attitude will get you far! Oh, and yes, it's only Tuesday. *sigh*

Some if not all of your weight gain if from retaining water so as soon as you get back to eating healthy and exercising the pounds will drop. Next time if a raccoon starts chasing you, it will stop as soon as you are out of his territory, just like a dog. I only see them in a ZOO.

They're terrifying in the wild (hehe), yep not too worried about the few pounds, I just need to drink lots of water and flush it out....always does the trick! I'm not an "OMG I gained a pound" kind of person, it happens :)...Bob Barker??? Lol love it!

Mr. Raccoon probably thought you wanted a piece of his dinner in the garbage cans! Of course, you did the right thing! Loved your post, keep up the good work!

HaHa, funny you should say that. I saw one in NYC on the school grounds and it looked at me like "Yeah and..." No those things will fight you for sure.

I have bonded with three wild turkeys in my subdivision. When they fly out of the tree, it's time for me to get my butt into the house to get ready for work. They are like clock-work! I saw a deer across the street from me one morning. He just watched me as I walked by! So cool.
