Pretty sure I came very close to heat stroke yesterday, sweating like crazy, super nauseated, drinking water like nobodies business, then I got real sleepy like I couldn't keep my eyes open. Once I cooled off it was better but that was gnarly and THAT is not happening again. With this heat I will need to modify some things and if that means less exercise or having to get creative to do it then so be it. Stay safe friends!

Were you exercising when you got the heat stroke? I suggest taking it easier this time of year and wearing a hat to keep the sun off your head. That helps me. I got heat stroke once while sightseeing and actually threw up. I was guzzling too much water and it wasn't helping. Not a fun experience. I'm glad you're feeling better now.

This time of year its best to change your schedule a bit if possible. Outdoor exercise should be limited to early morning or evening if you can, the cooler time blocks of the day. I Like to find local trails in the woods to run/walk/hike if I need to exercise while the sun is still high in the sky, keeps me in the shade!

Christy, I was at work. I am doing my exercise at 6:30 in the morning now to avoid the heat, but unfortunately I am in and out of the heat all day. I think I might need to add some gatorade to my day.
