Please someone slap me.

I haven't exercised for weeks now; the first 2 weeks due to crazy work days, other 2 weeks due to holidays, now 1 week due to ‘jetlag’, last 3 days due to holidays again… and I just caught my brain trying to find me another excuse to not work out today. Not to talk about eating properly because I also haven’t done it for weeks.

God! It is just so hard to go back on track with exercise and food. Somehow it feels like going back to the start, but this time is even worse, because my brain is playing games on me and making me feel like ‘relaax! You’ve come this far and now it is only a few more kg. to go’. I wish my brain would encourage me more to push harder…

I’m going for Zumba today. These days will be hard – start exercising again, eat better again; but I need to do this, coming so far won’t help if I am not able to achieve my goals.

Remember that we can always talk ourselves out of something. Just don't get yourself down about it. We all fall down, just get back up. Don't beat yourself up though! Have fun with the Zumba today, and let us know how the dance party was! :)

Now that you know you're trying to find excuses not to workout and eat right, you have to just make yourself. I think going to zumba will be a fun way to start getting back into your workouts. Just take it one day at a time and start cutting the bad foods slowly and reintroduce the good foods. You've done great! Now keep moving forward!! :)

Yeah Chick, don't lose progress because you are making excuses not to work out. Of course you are tired but somewhere in you is 20 minutes of a workout. It does not have to be everday but try. What I say to you I say to myself. Get your butt in gear and get something done! I would never slap anyone but I would definitely pour a bucket of ice water on your head. Have a great Zumba workout!

Good luck with your Zumba. One thing that helps me at times is doing some kind of body movement for 5 minutes. I studied martial arts some years ago and do punches and blocks for 5 minutes which then turns to 10 and then before you know it, 15 minutes goes by and I work up a good sweat. 3 of these little sessions adds up but the hardest part is getting started. You my try something like this.

thanks everyone! reading you is really motivating :) Well yes, I went to Zumba and it was all success (ok I struggled as if I had never exercised before but it was all fine). Madanjen, I'll start doing that as well!
