I walk into the kitchen this evening and my baking crazy daughter is at it again. This time she is making a cake. After telling me all about the recipe she tells me she is doing it differently this time. I ask how, her reply was I’m not making chocolate. Soooo, I am really glad I missed lunch and have a full meal of calories to spare for this cake, her latest creation and disaster for my diet!!

As a baker’s husband, I’ll tell you to limit how much you try. Log the calories so you know what your getting yourself into.

It's hard to say no to family. Adjust to allow and move on. It's great that your daughter wants to cook/bake for you!

So my little darling daughter, after she put the cake into the oven asked me if I knew why she baked so much lately. Then she told me, to kill your diet!! The little devil!!
Unfortunately her cake was a fail. It came out uncooked in the middle. Poor girl, you could hear the disappointment in her voice. So I started picking at the edges. It was a good cake. I kept picking at them till she perked up.
Yes LM, how much more perfect the world would be if goodies baked by children had no calories. Thanks for all the tips. I am in an active war zone here now and fresh baked items are causing causality
