Annabelle3117's Journal, 06 February 2014

Randomly decided to weigh in this morning... down a total of 83lbs! I have four pounds to onederland and seventeen pounds to my one hundred pound loss! I hadnt weighed-in in quite a while afriad of what the damage would be, none at all it seems. Either that or my workout on Monday was insane lol. This was all me though. Ive been sick but I havent been 'no appetite' sick, so Ill proudly take all responsibility for the loss.

Intake has been good, keeping the carbs under one hundred and the protein up too. I have been avoiding late night carb cravings by choosing diet orange soda instead. I dont drink a lot of pop, so this calorie free indulgence should be alright. Im making homemade chicken noodle soup today, maybe it will help me kick this cold for good. I asked a friend to cover my work shift tonight because I feel so rough. Heres hoping tomorrow Ill feel great and be back in the gym prepping for my 5ks.

My husband is going to do the foam run with me in July, Im sooo excited. He started this whole weight loss journey of mine a year ago then he fell off the wagon. This should give him the motivation he needs to get back to fitness. One of my good friends on this site decided to share her story with us and one of the things she said about her current husband rang true for me. She said he didnt care about her weight; they ate together. This was my husband and I too. We are happy, in love, and completely accepting of each other 'thick and thin' and we would chow together all the time. He has supported me 150percent and agreeing to do this 5k with me, well thats just the icing on the cake. We are a healthy and active family. Just this past summer where we used to sit around snacking and drinking we were instead up and playing hide and seek with the kids. Actually playing as a family. It has been an amazing transformation, becoming who I always wanted to be. Thank you 2MC for helping me find that epiphany.

One day at a time, one pound at a time Im getting there. Ya'll have made the difference for me though. It would have been so easy to go back to old ways without having to answer to you. It was your words floating around in my head and helping me learn how to make better decisions, and how to put myself first in the midst of the family drama. Of course I could have just logged off and dropped you like you were hott, but I like you too much. I love following your stories and offering support when I can, not to mention the many laughs. Thank YOU!! Have a great day guys :-)

Wonderful! Yolanda you have done such a great job. You are also very lucky to have a man that isn't threatened by your weight loss. Sometimes that happens. I hope that this movement for you both will strengthen and allow for you both to actually try other new things together. I wish I had a partner. Ok, just envying the thought. Have a great day.

Thanks guys!! There was a day when I think he was threatened by my loss. He would always say "you're going to get skinny and leave me". I always retorted with "you think I couldn't find someone else at my heavier weight, I found you!" Either way, he got over it. He hasn't been the best partner, as he has gained back all he lost and literally never went to the gym with me lol, but he has supported me none-the-less, and I'm hoping this impending 5K will be a kick in the butt for him. :-) Have a great day yourself, Bea!

Congratulations you! You know, I agree, this site definitely helps me stay on track but it's a matter of WANTING to come here and find the motivation that lies within each of us .. and that's what you've done. I'm so glad you're here. Kind of like those 12 step things .. it works if you work it :-)
