skwhite's Journal, 07 October 2012

Went away this weekend to our annual women's retreat for our church and had a wonderful, restful, refreshing weekend. So now I am ready to get back at it full force with renewed energy. I don't know about my food journal for the weekend. I did a little splurging but not too bad. I had chicken breasts while everyone else had other food that was smoothered in gravies and sauces. So even though I had fun I felt like I kept my snacking and goodies to a minimum, yay for progress!

Glad you had a refreshing weekend - was it in a beautiful area? I know - I am always amazed when I catch myself making better food choices automatically!

It was in a nice area, the hotel had fountains and a little river that swans were swimming on. They also had a fire pit where we sat and relaxed Saturday evening. Even better was the black out curtains in the room. I seriously need to get some of those!

Cool - that does sound peaceful and a great place for reflection.
