January 1, 2008: My name is Lorraine and tomorrow is my 43rd birthday. One more year is passing where I feel uncomfortable with myself. I think I have finally hit the bottom. In my twenties and early thirties I was one that had energy to do anything.....now I huff and puff just walking up to the top of our street. I am tired of being tired.

I have a terrific family; happily married to a wonderful man and we have two children. Our son is 7 years old and our daughter is 2 years old. I have a high pressure/high stress job working for the Federal Government and when I am not sitting in meetings (which is most of my day), I have a not stop rotation of people coming in and out of my office.

I don't make time to exercise or eat right. I need to make a major change in my life otherwise I won't see my kids turn 18. I say that because within this past year I have gained 30 additional pounds (after already being overweight) and I now have high blood pressure (taking medicine for that), migraine headache's (taking medicine for that) and mild depression from an overwhelming stressful job (taking medicine for that). My doctor basically told me if I stay on this path I won't see my kids turn 18. I also have zero energy and I need all I can get having a full time career and two little ones that want to play, play, play. I feel like I am cheating them by being so overweight that I am too tired to play with them. My weight is the culprit for all of these issues and it is time to change that.

That is basically the story here. It probably sounds familiar to some of you out there. I look to fatsecret.com members for support and ideas. This tool looks incredible to me. Thank you in advance.
