Today is a sick day for me. Not feeling well... which is why I had the same thing for both breakfast and lunch. It's what was prepared and easy to have.

Well, I can see that I won't be going to Arby's again. I'd never gone there before, and was out running errands, and was hungry since I hadn't taken the time to eat a healthy breakfast. So, I stopped there on my way home. I'll not go there again, because it's too costly in terms of calories and fat, and I'd rather use my calories in other, more healthy ways...
I'm a firm believer in 'everything in moderation' but as I said, I'd much rather use my calories on more healthy choices. That way, I can eat more in-volumne :-) Hm-m-mm, let's see, five french fries or a turkey sandwich with all the vegetables. I'll take the sammich!!

I was looking back at my challenge entries. I don't do well with challenges. I do best when I'm inner directed, rather than outter directed. If I don't have my thinking fixed in the right direction all the challenges in the world won't change the weight loss. It begins and ends in the mind. IMO, challenges only work temporarily. You got to change the thinking re: food and eating.
Scripture says, "search your own heart diligently for out of it flows the issues of life..." Psalms

I've just come back to this site after a very long stint, and I was looking at some of my friends, and realize that some people have been here, and have been recording weight, etc., and see that in many cases people either weigh more than they did when they started, or they've only lost a few pounds. I myself have lost 40 pounds out of the 70 needed, and haven't been trying to lose for about a year and a half now. I haven't gained, but I certainly haven't lost any more.
My observation is this: there's something very wrong with how we view weight loss. The "proof" is in the fact that most of us, even though we've been saying we're dieting, we aren't really losing any significant weight.
What's up with that? Anyone have any idea why we "spin our wheels"? Do we approach weight loss with the wrong attitude? Are we unrealistic in our expectations? Or is weight loss just too darn hard? Do we not believe we can actually do it? What gives?
