I've spent the last few weeks recovering from a bad fall. I fell in my home and managed to break several bones, including ribs and feet.sorry to say, weight is the last thing I'm worried about. I am glad however that I have lost weight as my injuries might be worse. I am going to leave fatsecret as it is really hard to get to a computer and make sense. Thanks to everyone for your good words.

Finally back on site. I've had a rocky couple of months. Health issues have kept me sidelined. I'm living with one of my daughters which has it's ups and downs. I've gained and lost 1-2 pounds every week or so. Mainly, I hate winter. I'm trying to exercise, and use some hand weights. Another ten pounds and maybe I will have my picture taken. My granddaughter keeps bugging me. Oh well, time to make some broth. A friend brought me a pile of ox tails. Lord knows their hard to get.

It's been a busy two months. Selling off 45-years of treasures, repairing walls and fixtures around the house. Finally bought a new entrance door that I had been begging my husband to purchase. It's a shame he's not around to see it.
I've had a new health issue crop up. Here I am 71 and now I get colitis. to tell the truth, I'm tired of all the food issues I've been dealing with. Yes it's wonderful to be much thinner, but I only weigh myself when visiting the doctors.
This is a great site for those wanting to lose weight with a varied support system. I'm leaving the site as it hasn't been at the top of my list to visit. Thanks to all those who have given me support and I wish everyone the best.

I just knew the scale was going to tell me I'd gained. This has been a summer from Hades. It seems like the country is under siege. High heat and rain, or for Michigan, heat but no rain. Frankly, I've eaten too much salad and watermelon. I kept my diabetes in check, but still racked on the pounds. Slacking off the exercise didn't help.
I have been proactive though. I sold a huge freezer, and extra refrigerator. My latest effort has been in downsizing recipes. I'm a meat eater so the small food scale came back out and I'm using a food chart again. Two pounds doesn't sound like much, but it's a warning.
I'm a stress eater and you might know my area just got 3.5 inches rain. This is good, except it showed my roof had a leak in the corner, and we're expecting a major rain for the next two days. I've called every roofer and handyman around, or course they're all busy. I'd go on the roof but at my age I'd fall off.

I'm still plugging along. I traveled a bit with my daughters. Finally have to admit, I'd rather stay home. I just turned 71, which is nice. Actually, any day you wake up is a nice day at my age. I'm struggling with the weight I have lost. No matter how much I exercise the blubber is still there. Cosmetic surgery is out at my age, but I sure would be able to move easier. I'm hoping to lose another 20 pounds, so that's my new goal.
