So me and my fiance have decided to give the Whole30 a try...not just for us but for our children. From what we have read and researched, there was a lot of people saying that it really helped their kids that had ADHD so that is one of the biggest reasons we are trying this out. I am excited and scared about starting this and having to change the way that I eat but it is for the best. I've been clinging to those comfort foods like a security blanket and it's time to stop those bad habits. It's going to be rough without the treats and such...but with the support of my family and friends, I am sure I can do this.
There is one thing that the Whole30 book said that I wish had more concrete research done on...apparently, according to the Whole30, because I don't have a gallbladder, I shouldn't be attempting Intermitten Fasting. I should be eating several small meals a day...but yeah. Not sure how much validity there is to this and got very mixed results when I looked it up. Ah well...we are going to follow the Whole30 rules for now and see what happens. It will be hard not tracking and not weighing myself every morning but yeah.
Just so everyone knows, we are planning to officially start next week since we still have a lot of food that isn't Whole30 compliant and I can't justify throwing it out. It's just wasteful so yeah...going to officially start next week.

I'm pretty excited to be starting up my workout plan tomorrow. I feel that I am definitely ready to take that first step. I have started and restarted several times but you know...I am still oddly hopeful that I can do this. I think the biggest problem that I had with the current workout program is that there is no end date. For someone with ADD, I need that definite set of time needed to achieve this so me and my fiance decided to give this program 30 days and see what happens from there. I mean, yeah I know...it's only 30 days but I should still see some results whether it's an increase in stamina/endurance or strength. Anyhow...I suppose this is all I really have to say so good night!!

Needed the recharge that the Full moon brought me last night. I am starting over and feel that my mindset has shifted to a more positive one. I am pulled out of that ADHD funk that I often find myself drowning in so I am ready to start working on myself. Yes, these next couple of months are going to be brutal because I am taking 3 classes this next, upcoming term but at least I will be graduating early. I can't let my self care suffer though. Need to just make sure that I am managing my time efficiently. This is going to require some hardcore planning on my end...I just hope that I don't let myself down again.

So where I worked, we won 2 free rides at the Cyclebar. Of course I signed up to use these 2 free rides. Today was my first one and OMG...it was brutal. I found that standing up on a bike is extremely challenging for me and puts more stress on my knees. I am still planning on doing the second ride on the 28th but yeah...this has definitely spurred me to try and work harder on my self care. I am not bothered that I was pretty much second to last in the group because I do know my limitations but it was an eye opener in the sense that I really do need to not only build up muscle but endurance as well. So yeah...the motivation is up and I am hoping that this momentum will continue. I also learned that group classes are not really my thing.
