gaining 0.1 lb a week
26 August 2024
I am back to my pre-vacation weight, more or less. I think I am at a breakthrough point in that I can finally trust the way I eat now. The routines, the go-to meals, the structure and habits around eating developed over the course of a year should keep my weight steady.
It will take more discipline and exercise--and logging--to drop another 25 lbs, though. So I'll stick with it for a while longer, see if I can get closer to my final goal of about 125-130 lbs.
The photo is from my vacation this summer in the Masurian Lake District in Poland. I took the photo at dawn when the fog still lingered on the lake. It was very quiet except for the calls and chatter of massive flocks of cranes gathering in the swamps on the other side of the lake for their fall migration.

Back on the scale after the three weeks in Europe where I didn’t weigh myself (and didn’t track food for the first time since starting in FS). I’m pleased the increase is less than two pounds, I was afraid it would be more😀

Not moving/walking much lately, and it shows in the weight going up. But a three week trip to Europe starts soon, so I think I’ll be more active. Gotta control the calories when traveling though, and that will be tough.

My first effort to make home made kimchi appears to be successful. The kimchi has a slight pleasant fizz on the tongue from the fermentation. It was easy! I followed “How to Make Easy Cabbage Kimchi” recipe from kitchn.com
