I started my food plan 8 days ago. I am a big woman over 300 lbs. so I always have a real dramatic weight loss the first week. I am sure most of it is excess water I have been retaining. I am eating a little under 1200 calories a day. Next weigh in will be a lot more reasonable. I usually lose about 2 lbs a week when I am this heavy and eat less than 1500 calories. I have already started mild exercise as well. Just posting this because I know people will wonder "what the heck!"....

Congrats, what a great start to your journey! I'm the same way; lose a lot the first couple weeks. I actually used to lie to people and understate the amount lost in my first few weeks of dieting because I didn't think anyone would believe me. You are doing great!
